Detailed Information on the Processing of Your Personal Data

Content Delivery and Security

Our Website is delivered through Cloudflare, Inc., a company that provides content delivery and Internet security. All traffic to and from our Website passes through Cloudflare’s network. Accordingly, Cloudflare may process limited technical data, such as your IP address, browser information, and request data, for the purposes of delivering content, optimizing performance, and protecting our Website from malicious traffic.

Cloudflare places a strictly necessary cookie (__cf_bm) on your Device when you visit our Website. This cookie is used by Cloudflare’s bot detection system to distinguish legitimate human visitors from automated traffic. The cookie expires after 30 minutes of inactivity, does not collect Personal Data, and any information stored in this cookie is subject to one-way encryption. This cookie is necessary for the use of our Website and is essential to its security.

Bot Mitigation

We use Cloudflare Turnstile on our contact form to verify that submissions come from real persons and to protect the Service from automated abuse.

Turnstile is a service provided by Cloudflare, Inc. When you use a form protected by Turnstile, Cloudflare may process limited technical data, such as your IP address, browser type, and TLS information, for bot detection purposes. Cloudflare states that this data is used for security purposes and is not used to identify users or for advertising purposes.

Analytics

We use Matomo, a web analytics platform that we host on our own servers (self-hosted). As a general rule, we do not provide to any third party visitor-level or session-level raw data, IP addresses, or other information obtained through analytics that could identify or be linked to a specific individual. However, we may share anonymized IP addresses and aggregated or statistical information that does not identify any individual with our domestic and overseas parent company, Affiliates, or service providers, as described below, for the purposes of understanding the use of the Service, improving the Service, security management, internal reporting, marketing analysis, and analysis of advertising effectiveness. We operate Matomo with a configuration that runs without using cookies (“cookieless tracking”) and with 2-byte IP address anonymization so that the last two octets of your IP address are masked before storage.

Your full IP address is used only temporarily during processing for analytics purposes to determine an approximate geographic location and Internet service provider. Following this lookup, only the anonymized IP address is stored. Your full IP address is not retained on the analytics platform.

For visitors using browsers that do not support JavaScript, we use a small tracking pixel (web beacon) to collect basic anonymized page visit data. This pixel does not set cookies and is subject to the same IP anonymization as our regular analytics.

Technical Infrastructure

Web server access logs retained for security monitoring and troubleshooting purposes may contain your IP address in non-anonymized form. These logs are not used for analytics, advertising, or marketing purposes.

Data Storage

While Website traffic passes through Cloudflare’s global network for security and performance purposes, we store and process Personal Data (including data submitted by you through the contact form on the Website) and Usage Data on servers located in Japan. The Website is hosted in Tokyo, Japan, and our self-hosted analytics platform (Matomo) is hosted in Ishikari, Hokkaido, Japan.

Please note that copies of Personal Data submitted through the contact form on the Website (including name, email address, company name, and inquiry content) may be sent by email to our employees for the purpose of responding to your inquiry. Our email system is operated by Microsoft Corporation under contract by our parent company (which is located outside of Japan). Accordingly, copies of contact form submissions (including any Personal Data provided) may be transferred to, and stored in, jurisdictions outside of Japan. For information regarding international transfers of Personal Data, please refer to “Transfer of Your Personal Data” above.

Children’s Privacy

Our Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you become aware that your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 18 without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.

If we need to rely on consent as a legal basis for processing your information and your country requires consent from a parent, we may require your parent’s consent before we collect and use that information.

Links to Other Websites

Our Service may contain links to other websites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that third party’s site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit.

We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Privacy Policy shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Japan, including the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI), without regard to its conflict of laws provisions. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Privacy Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
